Experience one of the Maldives’ most sought-after wildlife adventures with our 2 Nights / 3 Days Hanifaru Bay Expedition. Timed around the peak manta ray season, this unforgettable journey takes you to the world-famous Hanifaru Bay, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve renowned for its spectacular marine life encounters. Over three days, you’ll explore the pristine waters of Baa Atoll alongside our experienced guides, searching for manta rays and other incredible ocean wildlife. Under the right conditions, Hanifaru Bay becomes home to one of the largest manta ray feeding aggregations on Earth, creating a truly breathtaking experience for snorkelers and nature lovers alike. Your adventure begins with an early departure from Maafushi at 4:45 AM on Day 1. Throughout the expedition, you’ll enjoy guided excursions, comfortable accommodation on Dharavandhoo Island, and the opportunity to discover the natural beauty and authentic island life of the Maldives. After two nights in Baa Atoll, the expedition concludes with a return to Maafushi at approximately 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Day 3. The package includes 2 nights of hotel accommodation, breakfast and lunch for all three days, guided Hanifaru Bay experiences, transfers, and full expedition coordination by the Shadowpalm team. Due to the seasonal nature of manta ray aggregations and limited accommodation availability, places on this expedition are strictly limited. While our experienced guides carefully plan each trip to maximize wildlife encounters, all marine life sightings occur in the wild and therefore cannot be guaranteed. Available departures are scheduled for July 13–15, August 11–13, August 26–28, September 9–11, September 25–27, September 27–29, October 11–13, and October 25–27.
